Re: Anymore older mums out there
I'm 40 and my children are 10, 8, 6 and 3.
I guess I would have coped (because you just have to!) if I'd had my kids younger but I'm certain that I'm a calmer and more patient mum than I would have been 20 years ago.
I guess the downside is you might not have the 'get up and go' of someone in their teens/twenties and also that you'll be an older grandparent.

Re: Anymore older mums out there
I am 40 and my children are: 21, 19 and 17 but personally I wouldn't have it any other way ... I also have a 15 month old grandaughter and a grandson who is due on Saturday
I love my freedom now - lol and the fact that i'll still be able to run around after my grandchildren
I think it's everyone's personal choice and my Mum was 34 when she had me !
Hugs,
Mel

Re: Anymore older mums out there
if me and combom had met in our twenties we would have had more children thats for sure, but as it was we met in our mid thirties and didnt actually get together until i was 40.
i always wanted more children after laura, but my ex husband just wouldnt go for it, infact he was down right mean about it, one of the many reasons i left him in the end
i really do like been an older mother though, it can get tiring and emma is a live wire but i wouldnt have it any other way

my mums an older mum. lol
I was 30 when my first was born and 31 for the second. I have been told by a very reliable source that I have now been retired from duty against my will.

Blooming cheek! I was 22 when Coley1 arrived, and the girl in the next bed to me was 18 and having her second so I did feel like an older mum, and 24 when I had my daughter so I was young when my children were small and am STILL YOUNG now that I have grandchildren. Must say though, my dear son is much more trouble now than he was as a child, but perhaps not as a teenager!

Lol combom! If you were, er... 'looking after' 500 ladies, I don't think storm would have to bother killing you! She could just wait for you to expire from exhaustion, then claim the insurance
