USA Kickstars stem cell research
US President Barack Obama has lifted restrictions on federal funding for research on new stem cell lines.
Mr Obama signed an executive order in a major reversal of US policy, pledging to "vigorously support" new research.
Ex-President George W Bush blocked the use of any government money to fund research on human embryonic stem cell lines created after 9 August 2001.

stem cell research is a very grey area, i say its ok, a single celled organism, little more then a plany (that WILL grow into a human), although im again abortion and vivisection, i go with this!

well yes there is that, but they can take some of your bone marrow and spark growth i.e. as if to clone you and then stop it at a very early stage. these cells then can be used to repair what ever. i agree i don't like the idea of using foetus' totally wrong. the chances of rejection is small as it is your dna. there was a trial in south america and 13 out of 15 test subject no longer had diabetes with in a year.
