'Big four' supermarkets cheaper than discounters
The discounter supermarkets are more expensive than all of their "big four" rivals, according to new research.

Re: 'Big four' supermarkets cheaper than discounters
lol on the radio today, a survey showed netto and lidl cheaper then the "big four", i suppose its whos report you read, i still find asda the cheapest!
Re: 'Big four' supermarkets cheaper than discounters
yep it says Asda is the cheapest but what it says about the others was that if you buy the budget items from the big 4 ('No frills' as it was in another old shop) then they worked out at a lot cheaper than the discounters.
I have to agree really. We were going to Netto and Lidl for quite a while but I started geting peeved at the lack of some of the vital things and the price of some others and have since gone back to Tescos. I would go to Asda or Sainsburys rather than Tescos but I live uphill.
One fine example is that although Bachelors noodles are 40p(ish) the tesco homebrand ones are 8p compared to Lidls at 18p
