Food police come knocking on your kitchen door... to tell you what to do with your leftovers
When you are preparing a meal, the last thing you need is an unwanted caller at the door - especially one armed with advice about what to do with the leftovers.
But in a Government initiative to reduce the amount of food that is thrown away, officials are quizzing householders on their doorsteps about food consumption and how best to make use of their freezers.
The 'food champions' also offer home cooks advice on what portion sizes to prepare as well as recipe ideas to use up leftover scraps.

Money well spent as usual.
Good to see jobs being 'created' during a recession. Especially vitally important ones.
I can see the nation turning into great chefs and everyone following whatever is suggested to the letter.
Personally I cook more than I need but then it goes in the compost heap, rots down and then feeds 'next years' food

Well they will get about as far through the door as the salesmen, multiple door to door charity beggers and Jehovahs if they knock on my door and that is a polite 'not interested, goodbye'. lol

Extraordinary. A waste of money AND offensive, what a winner!
My response would be the same as Coleys, only it might well start with 'F'!
