anyone see today's "animal 24/7"?
have just been watching about how lots of owls are being handed in to rescue centres after being bought as pets after the Harry Potter craze.
I remember the same thing happened when I was little and the Ninja Turtle movies came out, and has happened again when Disney Ratattouille came out too.
It's quite sad really because they can most likely never be released into the wild. I really like owls! I think they are very pretty.

I blame the parents - it's one thing wanting a puppy or something, but an owl?? It's very strange! I didnt even know they were on sale lol

some parents just won't say no ,but it is quite easy to say and keep saying if they have to ,till the message gets home.

over the years i have taken absolutely allsorts of pets from dogs, cats, hamster, fish and birds and it is like anything once the novelty wears off. i think the weirdest thing was a hamster. i was told a bout it and the woman had brought it for her son and she had never cleaned it out since she had first got it. a £40 cage and she just didn't bother.it quickly came home wit me. mind you she was in to witchcraft and probably put a hex on me, thats why i have had so much bad look.

send the hex back ,just say i return the hex back to you, thats what i do , but i think we all have bad and good luck at different times in our lives , i don't believe in hexes etc.

you have bad luck because, youve just had bad luck, thats all! and if they are so clever, why arent they rich?
Re: anyone see today's "animal 24/7"?
I think we make our own luck in life, we'll never prevent rubbish stuff from happening, but we can make positive changes.
and raven I know what you mean - we see the same thing here, people fork out loads on cages but never clean them and they just rot! What a waste of money!

i am a believer in karma, what goes around comes around, so if your bad to someone, itll come back at you, and the same if your god, and its been proven right in my life so many times! you cant cheat karma!

if you ever get any hamsters or gerbil am happy to take them, can't take rats on as a couple of my household are a bit phobic but hamsters or gerbils or anything like it are fine.
