is "having 5 minutes" a figure of speech.

just had an arguement with my son. i was saying to him i was having 5 minutes and he returned with you have already had 5 minutes so you can't moan and said that i was being arkward when i said it was just a figure of speech. i have always said this was when i am having a break. at 11 0'clock at night i think i am entitled.

tell him its 11 o clock and to go to bed so he can have 480 minutes. lol

I like to have 5 minutes a lot but always get interupted and have to start again. lol

Our son doesnt understand when you say give me a minute he is back with in a few seconds and other times he will be back e=at exactly a minute but he cannot tell the time yet
