Re: i'm back again
Nice to hear from you Mary.I've been away on my 'Jollies' for a week or so and was also surprised at how quiet the forum was.I hope everyone is ok.Perhaps everyone is still stuck in the traffic coming AWAY from that airshow!

Re: i'm back again
lol. It has been pretty quiet. Maybe we're all tennis fans.
I know for sure if I had to make a decision then TV and telephone would go and the internet would stay

Re: i'm back again
Hi Mary
Long time no hear, hope you are well. I dont have a phone or the internet at home (do at work obviously) but im addicted to nature documentaries and comedies so couldn't do without the TV, don't watch it all that often, but it is good to chill out in front once in a while.
I also can't believe how quiet it is, but just couldn't think of anything to post, Only I'm off to Switzerland shortly and I cannot wait...........
Anyway back to work for me now :0(

Re: i'm back again
Always controversial when it comes to TV/phone/broadband and the best approach but, despite knowing I'm about to get jumped on,this is how I approached the issue.
I shopped around and came up with TalkTalk.Aaaaggghhh! you say.
Well,I've used TalkTalk for a couple of years now and despite some early teething problems, (incorrect MTU settings in the wireless router),I've not had a single problem.(Touch wood!).
But here's the nice thing.
It costs me £6.49 for the phone and broadband package and the usual £11.25 for line rental.
So for a total of £17.74 I get upto 8meg download speed (no way!) and a huge 40Gb download allowance (which I don't approach).
Unlimited evening and weekend calls.
Its very rare the figure goes over that quoted but its usually because I've called a number during the day.
Of course,it suits my circumstances being a poor, tight, wedge!
I also fitted a Twinhan Digital, and low profile, terrestial TV card for a few quid so I can watch TV on my monitor.(But this is probably a dated method now).
I've still got a TV but its about a metre thick and hums.
In real terms the package is £6.49 as I need the phone line and cannot do any thing about the cost.
Actually,I've paid that much line rental over the years I reckon I own the line!
Ok! Have a go!
